Special machine for manufacturing wood construction screws

One of the challenges with this system was the wide range of wire feed lengths from 160 to 850 mm combined with a high cycle rate of 60 pieces per minute, even with stainless steel variants. 
 
In order to be able to operate the processing stations at high cycle rates even with long wire feed lengths, our designers came up with the idea of first swiveling the wire sections into a vertical position to save space.
 
This is followed by the second special feature of this system. 
The transfer does not move in front of the processing stations, as is usual with most of our systems, but through them. This allows the closed-design swaging presses to be operated, in which the screw heads are formed in the next step. 
 
Another press pre-punches the screw tip before it enters the second part of the system, where the thread is rolled.
 
Here, we use a cooling and lubricating emulsion to give the blanks the desired thread. This step is also carried out in the system cycle.
